From theory to practice: optimisation of available information for landslide hazard assessment in Rome relying on official, fragmented data sources

چکیده
Abstract The definition of landslide hazard is a step-like procedure that encompasses the quantification its spatial and temporal attributes, i.e., reliable susceptibility detailed analysis recurrence. However, available information often incomplete, fragmented unsuitable for quantitative analysis. Nevertheless, evaluation has key role in implementation risk mitigation policies an effort should be done to retrieve make it useful this purpose. In research, we go through topic optimising catalogues, starting from inventory review constitution boosted training dataset, propaedeutic based on machine learning methods. recurrence events been approached here either definitions large-scale descriptors or by historical rainfall (i.e., main triggering factor considered shallow earth slope failures) databases probability curves. Spatial attributes were integrated, selecting potential source areas ranked terms hazard. Data integration was also pursued persistent scatterer interferometry which pointed out interest within featured ongoing ground movement. consequential approach led first product city Rome at local scale functional advisory purposes statutory level, representing thematic layer able orient managers infrastructure stakeholders.

Road and rail networks are essential components of national infrastructures, underpinning the economy, and facilitating the mobility of goods and the human workforce. Earthwork slopes such as cuttings and embankments are primary components, and their reliability is of fundamental importance. However, instability and failure can occur, through processes such as landslides. Monitoring the conditi...
متن کاملLandslide hazard assessment: recent trends and techniques
Landslide hazard assessment is an important step towards landslide hazard and risk management. There are several methods of Landslide Hazard Zonation (LHZ) viz. heuristic, semi quantitative, quantitative, probabilistic and multi-criteria decision making process. However, no one method is accepted universally for effective assessment of landslide hazards. In recent years, several attempts have b...
متن کاملInterferometry SAR for landslide Hazard Assessment in Garhwal Himalaya, India
Landslides are a major geological hazard in Garhwal Himalayas, since they are widespread dynamic processes that cause damage, and even loss of life, every year. Development of urban areas, Highway construction and expanded land use in Garhwal Himalaya mountain regions has increased the incidence of landslide disasters. The enormous damage caused by landslides can be reduced by means of monitori...
